Just now watch the Si Chuan charity show, at the very beginning the host said something. "Every call you made we will apply a (something)% GST charge..." Ugh~ This is so bullshit. Since when is donations considered a purchase? Need to apply GST. Then if some guy call to donate 100k or even more just becoz he or she feel sad for the victims, then the person need fork out additional 7k for that? Makes no sense. Of coz it's not Mediacorp's fault. It's...*ahem* ..................
I think the funds can be even higher one lor, if not for the GST. People want to donate money you don't let them. Still want to show others how kind and caring Singaporeans are, ...how?
